Perplexity can connect to your Flashcloud account so you can ask about your hosting, domains, and DNS in plain language — and, with your approval, make changes with a confirmation step every time.
Custom connectors need a paid Perplexity plan (Pro, Max, or Enterprise). Perplexity talks to the connector over the Streamable HTTP transport with an OAuth sign-in.
The connector URL you'll need:
https://mcp.flashcloud.com/mcp
Steps
- Click your profile in the lower-left corner and choose All settings.
- Open Connectors from the left menu.
- Click + Custom connector.
- Give it a name (for example, "Flashcloud") and paste the connector URL:
https://mcp.flashcloud.com/mcp - Expand Advanced. Set the authentication method to OAuth and the transport to Streamable HTTP.
- Tick the box confirming you understand custom connectors can introduce risks, then click Add.
- Select the new Flashcloud connector. A Flashcloud sign-in page opens; sign in with your email and password (and your two-factor code if you have it enabled).
- On the permissions screen, tick what you want Perplexity to access. Reading is on by default; action permissions are off until you tick them.
Perplexity's settings can shift between versions. If the exact labels differ, look for Connectors, a custom connector, the Streamable HTTP transport, and OAuth sign-in, then paste the same connector URL.
Once connected, try asking:
What's my Flashcloud account status?
Managing the connection
Your portal's Goodies → AI Agents page shows exactly what Perplexity can do and a full activity log, and lets you disconnect it instantly. You can also remove the connector from Perplexity's own Connectors settings.
Good to know
- Perplexity never sees your password — sign-in happens on Flashcloud's own page.
- Actions always show you what will change and wait for your approval.
- Perplexity can never pay, change your password, or cancel services — those only happen in the portal.
