We made these for the day a site moves to Flashcloud: look before you switch, then watch the switch land. They work the same with any host, so they are open to all. Here is what you get on top if the new host is us.
Flashcloud Tools are free utilities for anyone moving a website: a preview link that shows a site on its new server before DNS points there, and a DNS propagation checker that asks 25+ public DNS servers on five continents what they see. Free for everyone; Flashcloud customers get them inside the portal too.
No. The tools are free for everyone. Type your domain and go. Flashcloud customers also get them inside the portal, where the results say whether a domain already points at Flashcloud.
No. It works with any server on the public internet: a new host, a test server, your own VPS. It only refuses private addresses, Cloudflare addresses (they are not the server) and Flashcloud's own systems.
We built them for our own customers first, for the day they move a site to us. They work the same for everyone, so we opened them up. No sign-up, no email asked. Each tool page says what Flashcloud offers if you are picking a host.
Light ones: 10 preview links and 60 DNS checks per hour per visitor. DNS results stay the same for 30 seconds. If you hit a limit, the tool tells you how long to wait.
A preview link keeps the domain and IP for 30 days so the link works, then it expires on its own. DNS checks are not kept past the 30-second cache. We keep your IP address only to enforce the limits.
