To connect VS Code, Windsurf, or another MCP client to Flashcloud, point it at our connector URL, sign in once, and approve what it's allowed to touch. The connector URL is https://mcp.flashcloud.com/mcp, using the Streamable HTTP transport with OAuth. The AI Agents page in the portal has setup steps for each supported assistant.
You never enter your Flashcloud password in the assistant itself. Sign-in happens on Flashcloud's own sign-in page, the same flow described for Cursor and Gemini.
What you can actually ask it to do
Once connected, the assistant has tools for reading and, with your approval, changing real account state. That includes DNS record lookups and edits, WHOIS checks, invoice lookups, WordPress site management (installs, plugin updates, backups, and more via the wp_* tools), mailbox creation, domain suggestions, opening support tickets, and cPanel-adjacent actions like managing files, cron jobs, PHP version, and FTP accounts. Reading is available immediately; anything that changes your account walks you through a proposed change and asks for confirmation before it happens.
This mirrors what the portal itself exposes. If you're not sure where a given setting lives when you'd rather do it by hand, getting around cPanel: the tools that matter and accessing cPanel cover the split between the portal and cPanel.
Managing or revoking access
Every connected MCP client shows up under Goodies → AI Agents in the portal. That page lists exactly which tools each connection can use, its connected and last-used dates, and a disconnect option that revokes access immediately. If you connect several assistants, check this page occasionally.
Your Flashcloud password is never visible to the assistant. Sign-in happens on Flashcloud's own page. Account-sensitive actions like payments and cancellations happen in the portal, not through MCP.
If a connection won't authenticate
If sign-in loops, the assistant reports a failed OAuth callback, or tools don't appear after connecting, double-check the URL is exactly https://mcp.flashcloud.com/mcp and that it's using an HTTP or streamable transport, not stdio. If it still won't connect, open a ticket from Support in the portal. A real person will look at it. There's no phone line, but tickets and live chat are staffed by humans, not a queue.
