Once you've connected an AI assistant to your Flashcloud account, creating a mailbox is a plain-language request: tell it the address you want, and it proposes the change and waits for you to confirm before anything happens. No portal navigation required.
What to ask
Be specific about the address and, if you have one in mind, the password. Something like: "Create a mailbox for sales@mydomain.com" or "Set up support@mydomain.com with a new mailbox."
The assistant has a dedicated mailbox tool for this. It reads which domains are on your account, checks the address is valid, and proposes the creation as a discrete action.
The confirmation step
Every action-capable assistant connected to Flashcloud works the same way: it shows you a summary of the proposed change, then waits for an explicit yes before touching anything.
This matters because assistants read a lot of untrusted content: web pages, tickets, DNS records. The only approval that counts is the one you type in your own conversation.
After it's created
The mailbox works immediately with any mail client. Point it at mail.yourdomain.com, use the full email address as the username, and connect over IMAP on port 993 (SSL) or SMTP on port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS). Webmail access is available through Roundcube from the portal if you'd rather not set up a desktop client right away.
If you asked the assistant to generate a password, save it somewhere before you close the conversation.
What the assistant can't do here
Mailbox creation is an account action, so it only works if you've turned on action permissions for the connected assistant in the first place. If your assistant says it doesn't have permission, that's the setting to check.
Some things stay out of reach no matter what you approve: the assistant can't touch your saved payment cards, change your account password, or alter your two-factor settings. Those live in the portal only.
Managing or disconnecting
Go to Goodies → AI Agents in your portal to see each connected assistant's status, connection and last-used dates, and its current permissions.
When to contact support
If a mailbox creation fails repeatedly, or you see activity in AI Agents you don't recognize, open a ticket from Support in the portal. It reaches a real person, not a bot, and you can use the secure share panel there if you need to hand over any sensitive details.
