If you've connected an AI assistant to your Flashcloud account, you can ask it for domain name ideas in plain language. Ask something like "give me 10 domain ideas for a plant subscription box" and the assistant proposes names, checks them against live availability, and shows you what's actually free to register.
This works because the connector exposes a domain suggestion tool alongside the rest of your account (DNS, invoices, hosting, WordPress, mailboxes, cPanel file and cron access).
How to ask
Be specific. The more context you give, the better the suggestions.
- "I'm starting a mobile dog grooming business in Austin, suggest some domain names"
- "Give me short, brandable .com options for a note-taking app, nothing over 12 characters"
- "I want
gritcoffee.combut if it's taken, what's close?"
The assistant returns a list of candidates, checks which are actually available, and can suggest alternate TLDs when your first choice is taken.
What happens next
The assistant can look up names and check availability for you. Once you've picked a name you like, registration happens in the portal at portal.flashcloud.com, not through the assistant.
If you want the assistant to handle something on the account side after you've picked a name, like pointing DNS at the new domain or setting up a mailbox, it can propose those changes too. Anything that touches your account shows you exactly what will happen first and waits for you to approve it before doing anything.
Setting this up if you haven't already
If you haven't connected an assistant yet, start with Connect an AI assistant to your Flashcloud account for the overview, or jump straight to a guide for your tool: Connect Gemini or Connect Cursor. Every assistant uses the same connector URL and the same sign-in flow. You approve access once and it's live.
Managing or disconnecting
Your portal's Goodies → AI Agents page shows every assistant you've connected and exactly what each one is allowed to do. If you want to stop an assistant from making domain suggestions or doing anything else, disconnect it there and access ends immediately.
If something looks off, try rephrasing the request first. Most issues come down to a vague prompt. If the connector itself seems broken, such as an assistant that won't authenticate or tools that don't appear after you've approved access, open a ticket from Support in the portal.
