A2 Hosting runs standard cPanel, which makes this one of the more straightforward migrations we handle. There's no proprietary export format to fight and no unusual panel to reverse-engineer.
What to hand over

Don't paste your A2 password directly into the ticket text if you can avoid it. Support tickets support a secure share panel for this, or you can note in the request that you'll send credentials separately.
How long it takes and what stays live
Free Transfers typically take 2-5 business days. Your A2 site keeps answering requests at its current DNS the whole time, so visitors keep reaching your site while the move happens in the background. You'll want to check the migrated site before pointing DNS at Flashcloud.
If your A2 plan includes mailboxes, talk to our team about the best way to bring email along during the cutover.
DNS and going live
A2 typically manages DNS either through its own nameservers or through wherever your domain is registered. Our team coordinates the cutover with you. If your domain is registered elsewhere and you just want it pointed at Flashcloud, that's a nameserver change on the domain, separate from the file and database copy. Already paid A2 for time you won't use
If you prepaid A2 Hosting for months or a year you won't get the benefit of, that's not lost money by default. Flashcloud can credit some of that unused time to your account as billing credit. This is separate from the free transfer itself: the transfer moves your site, the credit offsets what you already paid elsewhere. Moving from a page builder or site builder instead?
Everything above assumes a standard cPanel-hosted site: WordPress, a custom PHP app, or static files. If you're coming from a platform-specific builder like Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify instead of A2, the mechanics are different since those platforms don't hand over raw files or a database the same way. Those moves usually mean exporting content from the platform's own tools first and rebuilding or redirecting rather than a straight file copy, so treat them as a separate project from a standard host transfer.
Before you cancel A2 Hosting
Wait until you've confirmed the migrated site on Flashcloud, your domain is pointed here, and email (if applicable) is flowing correctly before you cancel A2.
