Switching to Flashcloud from a host you have already paid ahead on? We can credit some of that unused time to your Flashcloud account, so you are not paying twice while you move. This is a billing credit, and it is separate from our free migration service.
What the credit covers
If you have prepaid time left at your old host, we credit the unused portion to your Flashcloud account:
- Up to 6 months of unused time.
- The amount is capped, so it offsets your hosting cost rather than covering it in full.
- It is applied as account credit toward Flashcloud hosting. It has no cash value, and it is not paid out or refunded.
The credit is about the leftover time you paid for elsewhere. Moving the site itself is handled separately, and that is always free.
Credit vs free migration
These are two different things, and you can use both:
- Free site transfer - our team moves your files, databases, email, and DNS at no charge. See Free site transfer from your old host.
- Migration credit - a billing credit for the hosting time you already paid for at your previous host.
Proof we will ask for
Because the credit is based on time left on your old plan, we need to see it:
- A recent invoice or billing statement from your old host showing your plan and its term.
- The term end date or renewal date, so we can work out the unused months.
A screenshot of your old host's billing page usually covers it. If you are not sure what to send, send what you have and we will tell you if we need more.
How to claim it
- Get your new Flashcloud hosting order in place (or sign in if you are already active).
- Open a ticket with billing and ask about the migration credit.
- Attach the proof of your remaining time at the old host.
- We work out the eligible months, apply the capped credit to your account, and confirm the amount.
Do not paste any old-host passwords into the ticket. If we need a login to verify anything, use the secure share panel.
Good to know
- The credit reduces what you owe on Flashcloud invoices. It does not convert into a refund. For how refunds work, see Our refund policy.
- It applies to your Flashcloud hosting, not to domain registrations.
