Moving off FastComet doesn't require you to touch cPanel exports or database dumps yourself. Open Free Transfer in the portal sidebar, hand our migration team access to your FastComet account, and they copy your files, database, and email over while your current site keeps running. DNS is the step that actually causes a cutover.
What to hand over
A cPanel login covers files, MySQL databases, and email accounts in one go. For exactly what the form asks for and how to submit it, see
If you only have FTP details and not the control panel login, that covers the files, but a database-driven site (WordPress, WooCommerce, any PHP app with a MySQL backend) needs database access too. When in doubt, send what you have and note anything you're not sure about in the notes field.
What stays live during the move
Your FastComet hosting keeps serving visitors for the entire migration. Nothing goes live on our end until you say so, and your domain's DNS doesn't move until you're ready for it to.
The full mechanics of the request form and what happens after you submit are covered in Requesting your Free Transfer, step by step.
Email: bring it along or switch it separately
If you run mailboxes on FastComet, decide up front whether email should move with the site or on its own timeline. Bundling it into the same transfer request is simplest for most people. Either way, don't change nameservers or MX records until you're ready for the site to go live.
Don't pay twice for hosting
If you've already paid FastComet for months you won't use, that's separate from the free transfer itself. Flashcloud offers a migration credit for unused prepaid hosting time from your old host. See Migration credit for unused hosting time for what qualifies and how to claim it once your transfer is underway.
Moving from Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify instead?
FastComet is traditional cPanel hosting, so a direct file-and-database copy works cleanly. If your current site actually lives on a platform like Wix, Squarespace, or Shopify rather than FastComet-style hosting, that's a platform migration, not a hosting transfer, and it's handled differently. Submit the Free Transfer request and mention your actual platform in the notes so it's scoped correctly.
Getting started
Check the full pre-move checklist in Your first day with Flashcloud: a setup checklist, then head to Free Transfer in the portal and submit your FastComet details. If anything about your setup is unusual, custom database names, a staging subdomain to skip, a plugin that's fussy about server moves, add it to the notes field. For anything that comes up mid-move, open a ticket from the portal.
