Moving from JetHost to Flashcloud doesn't require you to touch a file. Submit Free Transfer from the portal sidebar with your JetHost control panel login, and a migration specialist copies your files, database, and email over for you. Your JetHost site stays live and serving visitors the entire time.
The only real decision on your end is what to hand over and when to cut things off at JetHost. Here's how that works for a JetHost move specifically.
What to send us from JetHost
JetHost accounts are typically cPanel-based, so if that's what you have, the fastest path is your cPanel URL, username, and password. If JetHost gave you a different control panel, or you only have FTP and phpMyAdmin logins, send those instead and note it in the request. Whatever you provide goes straight into the support ticket tied to your migration, not a general inbox.
Full walkthrough of the form fields (destination domain, current provider, panel credentials, notes) is in Requesting your Free Transfer, step by step. If you'd rather not send a password through the form, use the ticket's secure-share panel instead, which lets you send it separately and self-destructs after 1-30 days.
A few things worth gathering before you start:
- Your JetHost control panel login (cPanel or otherwise)
- Database credentials if your site uses one and the control panel access doesn't cover it
- A list of any mailboxes on the domain, if you want email included in the same move
- Any custom DNS records at JetHost you've added beyond the defaults (subdomains, third-party verification records, etc.), since those need to be recreated after cutover
What stays live while we work
Nothing changes for your visitors until you say so. Your specialist pulls a copy of your site from JetHost while the original keeps running there. Once the copy is on Flashcloud and confirmed working, your domain gets pointed there.
Free transfers typically take 2-5 business days.
Email: bring it along or move it separately
If JetHost hosts your email too, the transfer can move it as part of the same job. If you'd rather control the timing independently of the website cutover, talk to your specialist about the right order for your setup.
Don't cancel JetHost yet
Once your site is confirmed working on Flashcloud, rotate the JetHost panel password you shared in the ticket before you close that account. Don't reuse it anywhere else.
If you prepaid for time at JetHost you haven't used, see Migration credit for unused hosting time for how that's handled.
And if your domain is also registered through JetHost rather than a separate registrar, you can point its nameservers to Flashcloud once the site is verified, or transfer the registration itself later. Either way, the site migration and the domain move are independent steps, so there's no need to rush the domain part to get your site live.
If something looks off after the move
If a plugin, form, or database connection breaks after the copy goes live on Flashcloud, don't point DNS yet. Reply on the same support ticket with specifics (what page, what error) so your specialist can fix it before cutover. Tickets go through the portal under Support, and a real person picks it up, not a bot.
