No. The price you see when you order hosting or a domain is the price you pay. Flashcloud doesn't charge setup fees, activation fees, or account fees on top of your plan price. The only things that show up on your invoice later are the charges you'd expect: plan renewals, any add-ons you actively choose, and domain renewals at their standard rate.
That said, "no hidden fees" doesn't mean "nothing ever changes." A few things are worth understanding up front so nothing catches you off guard.
What's included in your plan price
There's no separate activation fee. Free Let's Encrypt SSL is issued automatically, usually within about 5 minutes of your domain pointing at us, and renews on its own. Migrations handled by our Free Transfer service don't cost extra either: our team moves your site over, typically in 2 to 5 business days, and your old site stays live until the new one is confirmed working.
Domain registration and renewal prices are shown before you buy. WHOIS privacy is managed from the ID Protection toggle on your domain page.
Where charges can legitimately show up
These aren't hidden fees, they're normal parts of owning hosting and domains:
- Plan renewals. Your invoice is emailed to you ahead of the due date. If you have automatic payments set up with a default card on file, it's charged automatically. If not, you pay manually from your invoices.
- Domain renewals. Domains renew at the standard rate for that TLD, which can differ from the first-year price. Check the domain's page in the portal for its renewal price before it's due, and use the Auto-renew toggle on that domain if you want to control it independently of your account-wide auto-pay setting.
- Upgrades you choose. Moving to a higher plan is billed at the new plan's rate going forward. Nothing upgrades automatically without you clicking Upgrade plan on the service.
- Optional add-ons. Anything beyond the base plan (extra services, additional domains you register, etc.) is something you actively select, never auto-added.
How to check exactly what you'll be charged
Sign in to portal.flashcloud.com and open Billing (the /invoices page). You can filter by All, Unpaid, Overdue, Paid, or Cancelled to see exactly what's been billed and what's coming due. Scroll to Cards on file at the bottom of that page to see which card is marked as your default (that's the one used for auto-pay) and to add or remove cards.
If you want a domain handled manually instead of auto-charged, open that domain's page in the portal, find its Auto-renew toggle, and turn it off. You'll still get the invoice and can pay it yourself before the due date.
What we don't do
We don't charge for account setup, don't charge to issue or renew SSL certificates, don't charge for the initial migration under Free Transfer, and don't silently enroll you in add-ons. Turning off auto-renew on a domain doesn't carry a penalty. It means you pay manually going forward. Want to close a domain, move it elsewhere, or downgrade a plan? Those go through a support ticket rather than a self-service button.
If something on your invoice looks wrong
If you see a charge you don't recognize, or a renewal price that doesn't match what the domain or service page shows, open a new ticket from Support in the portal. There's no phone line. Tickets and live chat are handled by real people who can pull up the exact charge and explain or correct it.
