If you don't want to keep a service, you can cancel it. We're not going to make this hard — the cancel flow is one click from your service page.
How to cancel
- Sign in and go to Services.
- Click the service you want to cancel.
- Click the Cancel tile.
- The cancellation wizard opens — three steps.
Step 1: Are you sure?
We'll suggest you talk to our customer service team first. They can sometimes resolve the underlying issue (slow site, billing question, missing feature, etc.) without you needing to cancel.
If you'd rather proceed, click I'm sure to continue.
Step 2: Reason and timing
- Reason (optional, 500 char max) — tell us what didn't work. We read every cancellation reason and use them to improve.
- Timing:
- End of billing period (default): your service runs until the current paid-through date, then doesn't renew. Most common — you've already paid for the month/year, so use what you've paid for.
- Immediate: cancel right now. Service stops; you forfeit the prepaid time. The 30-day money-back guarantee may apply (see Refund policy).
Step 3: Confirm
Review the summary and confirm. We submit the cancellation request to our billing team.
What happens next
For end-of-period cancellation:
- Your service runs normally until the current paid-through date.
- We won't generate a renewal invoice.
- We won't auto-charge your card for renewal.
- On the cancellation date, the service shuts down and is queued for deletion.
- Data is retained for 14 days post-cancellation in case you change your mind. After 14 days, it's deleted permanently.
For immediate cancellation:
- The service shuts down within minutes.
- You forfeit prepaid time (depending on the 30-day money-back-guarantee window — see below).
- Data retention same as above (14 days, then deleted).
Refunds
- Within 30 days of initial purchase: hosting services are refundable in full under our money-back guarantee. See Refund policy.
- After 30 days: prepaid time on cancelled services isn't refunded. (You're not "out" the money — you're just using a service you've already paid for.)
- Domains: not refundable per ICANN rules. Even if you cancel hosting, the domain registration stays valid until its expiry. You can transfer it out or let it expire.
What this article covers vs doesn't
This is for cancelling a single service (one hosting plan, one VPS, etc.).
For:
- Closing your entire account — open a ticket with our team. We close accounts manually after confirming you've cancelled all services and paid any outstanding invoices.
- Transferring a service to someone else's account — different process. Open a ticket.
Changed your mind?
If you've already submitted a cancellation request and want to undo it:
- Before the cancellation date — open a ticket; we can reverse the cancellation if it hasn't run yet.
- After the cancellation date but within 14 days — open a ticket; we can usually restore from the recent backups, but service availability isn't guaranteed.
- After 14 days — data has been deleted. We can spin you up a fresh service, but the previous content is gone.
Power-user note
Cancellation requests are recorded in your account history. If you cancel and then re-order the same kind of service later, our team can look back at the previous cancellation context — useful for "we tried X plan and Y didn't work; here's what to try this time."
We genuinely don't try to make cancellation hard. The 30-day money-back guarantee, end-of-period default, and 14-day data retention are all designed to give you graceful exits if things don't work out.
