BILLING & INVOICES

Our refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on hosting services. Not satisfied within the first 30 days of initial activation? Request a refund, full stop.

What's covered

The 30-day full-refund window applies to:

  • Shared hosting plans.
  • WordPress hosting plans.

Cancel a shared or WordPress plan within 30 days of initial activation and we refund what you paid for the hosting, full stop. If your plan came with a free domain, the domain's registration cost is non-refundable and is deducted from the refund — the domain stays yours.

VPS and Dedicated servers work differently: there's no 30-day window, but you can cancel anytime and get back the unused whole months left on your prepaid term (the month currently in progress isn't refunded). Any control-panel license fee is non-refundable.

What's not covered

  • Domain registrations and renewals — registry rules don't permit refunds on domains. Once registered, they're yours regardless of whether you cancel hosting.
  • Add-ons — dedicated IPs, SSL certificates once issued, and promo credits or gift certificates are non-refundable.
  • Renewals after the first 30 days — the guarantee is for initial purchases. Renewing into year 2 doesn't reset the 30-day window.
  • Custom professional services — migrations beyond the standard Free Transfer, custom WordPress development, etc. Quoted separately, refunds per the project agreement.

How to request a refund

  1. Cancel the service first — see Cancelling a service.
  2. While cancelling, pick Immediate as the timing if you want the refund processed right away.
  3. Open a ticket with billing requesting a refund.
  4. Reference your invoice number or service ID.

We process refunds within a few business days. The refund hits your original payment method.

Refund timing on the bank side

How long until you actually see the money:

  • Card refunds: 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay: 5–10 business days, hits the underlying card.
  • Bank transfer: typically next business day for SEPA, longer for international wire.

If 14 days have passed and you haven't seen the refund, contact us with your bank's support line — sometimes refunds are pending and just need bank intervention.

Refunds outside the 30-day window

Past 30 days on a shared or WordPress plan — or at any time on a VPS or Dedicated server — you can still get back the unused whole months left on a prepaid term. We count the complete months remaining after the one currently in progress (that partial month isn't refunded). Open a ticket with billing to start. We're also flexible on:

  • Genuine billing errors — we fix them, including refunds.
  • Service outage causing real harm — case-by-case, often a credit on your account.

What we ask for

We don't require a reason for refunds within the 30-day window. We ask anyway:

  • Optional reason in the cancellation flow.
  • We read them all and use them to improve.

If you've had a bad experience, telling us why helps us not repeat it. But the guarantee doesn't depend on your reason being satisfactory to us.

"I cancelled but my card was still charged"

A few causes:

  • Cancellation was end-of-period, but a renewal had already been queued. The charge happens at the renewal date even after cancellation. Open a ticket; we'll refund the charge if the service was already cancelled.
  • You have multiple services — the charge was for a different service.
  • Cancellation didn't go through — check your service status in Services. If it's still active, the cancellation didn't apply.

In all cases, opening a ticket with the charge details (date, amount, last 4 of card) gets it sorted quickly.

Power-user note

For larger accounts (annual contracts, multi-year prepayments, custom enterprise arrangements), refund terms can be negotiated separately. Open a ticket if your situation doesn't fit the standard policy and we'll work something out.
